LEUTHEN: AUSTRIAN GENERAL STAFF BY WINDMILL
Above: During the battle of Leuthen, at around noon, the Supreme Commander of the Austrian Army, the Prince of Lorraine, together with Count von Daun - second in command - and the General Staff went to the windmills north of the village of Leuthen to have a better look of the battle.
Here it is represented this moment: in the center of the scene there is the Prince, just behind the Count von Daun. In 1757 there was not any unit dedicated to the General Staff (like the Stab Dragonen that were founded in 1758)and therefore I represented the Commander with 2 Generals just behind in white coat; one aide de camp in green with a binocular, checking the movement of the units; just next to Prince there is a Captain of the Eszterhazy Hussars;
These hussars are also visible in the foreground (with blue coat and pelisse) as escort and messengers. Some units of the Mercy regiment also protect the General Staff from eventual attack.

Some details. The captain is really cool!
