MAPS OF THE BATTLE OF TURIN
1) The maps of the battlefield of the Battle and Siege of Turin in 1706. In this map I didn't paint the fighting units in order to give a precise idea of the battlefield without the armies. Nowadays all what you can see in green is covered by the strong urbanized agglomerate of the town of Turin (the Metropolitan Area of Turin is about 1.700.000 inhabitants) and now instead of woods and river and farms there are buildings and asphalt. Nonetheless it is still possible to see and to have an idea of some places where the battle or the siege were fought. Some quarters of Turin still carry the name of the church or castle at those days in the middle of battle. For istance you have to consider that in front of the cittadella (where the French dug their trenches there is now an important railway station. Just the Turin hill keeps the same aspect of those days
In this map I designed the forces present at the Battle. (Even if the legenda is in Italian I think it is easy understandable. The Battle took place on the North-West of the Town of Turin
Here there is the detail of the Battle.
